Headshot of Daniel

Hi, I'm
Daniel. 👋

I'm a Computer Science student at University of British Columbia. I love making projects (and occasionally finishing them). I like to spend my free time doing web development, learning about infrastructure, and bouldering!

Here's what I've been doing:

Gumloop Aug 2024 - Now

At Gumloop, we're working on the future of business workflow automation and making AI workflows accessible to everyone. As a co-op software engineer, I'm integrating APIs for new external services to let users incorporate Discord, Slack, and other platforms into their automations!

Berlinguette Group Jan 2024 - Aug 2024

I was part of the Thunderbird subteam which performs experimental research into uses of electrochemistry to enhance nuclear fusion rates. As a co-op software developer, I worked on our central experiment control interface using technologies like React, Python, Docker, Arduino, and MQTT.

UBC ARC May 2023 - Dec 2023

UBC Advanced Research Computing provides high-performance compute capabilities to researchers and students at the university. As a datacentre technician intern, I provided support and maintenance for over 450 servers consisting of nearly 16,000 CPU cores, 200 GPUs, and 3 petabytes of storage capacity.

My Favorite Projects

ProFound

ProFound

The world's first AI cofounder!

Are you a non-technical founder who wants a comprehensive no-code solution? Or maybe you're a serial founder who wants to make new ideas fast? Introducing ProFound - the AI-powered no-code prototyper which can turn ideas into mockups in minutes, not days. Using Svelte, Tailwind, and WebSockets, I implemented the frontend interface to let users chat with ProFound and see the previews of their mockups.

Sherlockify

Search your friends online!

Built off of the open-source Sherlock Project app, we created a web interface to let you search your friends online over thousands of social media sites! I developed a backend server to interface with Sherlock using Python and FastAPI, and deployed to Google Cloud using Cloud Run + an automated Cloud Build pipeline.
